| | It was a fine day when we left Manila at around 5 am. After a short stop in Ortigas, we headed to Lucban Quezon for the annual Pahiyas Festival.
Well, the moment we stepped out of the van... a heavy downpour!
It's was ok. Part of the adventure. We still got to shoot the rainy Pahiyas in between the short ceasefires of mother nature.
Taken in May 2008. Thanks for the invite of friends from CCD (Camera Club Digitale).

| | Photos taken during our church camp last March. After our morning worship, we grabbed our cameras to capture this magnificent landscape.
Location: Bosoboso Highlands, Antipolo.

| | First outing of my D300 using a 105mm macro lens. One word: Unbelievable!
Post-processing was so easy. Vibrant colors. Sharp details. Fantastic camera!

| | it's been a while since i last posted. hope you guys are still there. well, i'm back.
starting off with one of my favorite subjects, Street Portraits with an environmental twist.
"THIS LAND IS MINE!" She's one of the thousands who will have to give up their homes for demolition. The government has ordered the clean-up of shanties along the railroad and then relocate the residents to relocation sites. At least this old lady still has her home when this photo was taken. All the houses surrounding her were gone. She's a tough one I guess.
BLACK BOYZ (black on black is cool!)
SANDAL (both english and Pilipino meaning will do)

| | Beautifully symmetrical Mayon volcano, which rises to 2462 m above the Albay Gulf, is the Philippines' most active volcano.
This month I had the chance to shoot it for a couple of days. So much to shoot, so little time.
Welcome to Bicol.

 The TARSIER

Scenic Bohol casts an enigmatic charm drawn from the many archaic mementos spread throughout the oval-shaped island: from the Chocolate Hills and the tarsier to 16th century watchtowers and Jesuit Baroque mission churches. The Chocolate Hills, all of 1,268 perfectly cone-shaped hills, are undoubtedly the most famous tourist attraction in the province.
From Cebu we took a high speed ferry ride to Bohol, rented a coaster and toured Bohol's attraction for one whole day.

| | The much awaited grand family vacation. More than a dozen of us "attacked" our relatives in Cebu, a week before school starts.

Mostly landscape shots but will later divide the album to Escape to Cebu Album, Cebu Vacationeer shots (for Family Contacts) and Plantation Bay IR and Experiments. So please come back. If I wait till i'm finished editing most of my shots, I'm sure it'll take some time. So here goes what I've done so far.
I'm reading all your comments excitedly... perhaps the ONLY source of joy and fulfillment I get in posting my images in Multiply. Keep it coming. Thank you for your continued patronage. :) |

| | A group of Theology students and professors explored the mystery religions and practices looming in the mystical mountains of Banahaw in Quezon Province.

Discoveries, learnings, fellowship and a lot of images we took home after that one day expedition. Here's a link to another album Banahaw: The Shooters and Banahaw: The Team. Kind of snap-shootish tho.

It was a tiring but fun shoot. Nice meeting the guys I only "meet" online.

| | April 9-11, 2007 Just after the Holy Week, our family went to Uacon, Zambales (my wife's hometown).
The province is about 5 hours from Manila (without the stopping and driving at constant racing speed... hehe. ok 240+ km one way according to my odometer. I was driving a gas guzzler, a Landcruiser V8 4.7li engine, 4.3km per liter of Shell Velocity... hehe. That's how much of gas? hehe
We went to an island called Potipot, a photographer's paradise. White sand IMO is better than Boracay's. The water is sparkling. Sunset is just amazing!
According to the boatmen, during the Holy Week, there were around a thousand visitors on that small island every day! That's a lot for a small island! When we were there, we had Potipot all for ourselves! The caretaker wasn't even there to collect the P20 fee. I supposed she needed a breather and remitted cash to the owner. hehe. Thank God for His creation to enjoy for free.
Armed with my new bag of tricks I wanted to try... I went to the "shallow" part of the island and used infrared, ND filters, long exposures, etc. etc to my heart's content. I wished I could have tried night photography too, but there was no sight of the moon and there was no light on the island.
I had to forgo my snorkeling equipment which I also brought. There's so much to shoot out there. I saw another photographer there and he saw me. I should have gotten his number, he left earlier and didn't wait up for the sunset. Perhaps he too was from DPP or PiPho. Now that I'm alone, I have Potipot all for myself.
More to come. I think I shot too much photos. I love to inspire and be inspired, so leave something for me to read. thanks. |

| | Till my dream of shooting wildlife in Africa come to pass, I'll settle myself practicing shooting zoos and local safaris. Had the chance to shoot macros in a butterfly garden too. |

| | I walked and walked and walked till I came to a place where I can't go any further. I liked what I discovered, a place all for myself.

| | A group of photographers from DPP Forum (www.digitalphotographer.com.ph) had their first Sampaloc Area EB last 27 January. The event was hosted by Sampaloc Bible Church in connection with their Streetchildren Shelter Program. Everyone had a blast and the kids enjoyed the day fellowshipping with their new friends. |
JOKE! JOKE! JOKE! (wish ko lang) I just made up a mocked DPP cover last November, sort of practice (my first time) and I want to see how my photo would look like on a magazine. I painstakingly did this, every detail (including barcode), titles and even the "contents." I even placed Santa's silhouette through the moon. I didn't find the exact fonts though. My apology to Digital Photographer's Philippines. I wanted to post this in the FORUM there ( www.digitalphotographer.com.ph) for fun's sake but I was discouraged. I might start a thread of mocked covers daw. He's got a point. So here na lang... maybe i'll do a Monthly Issue and change the heading to Digital Photograph-err instead. I waited for the real DPP, December Issue to come out before I posted this. below are sample covers of the REAL magazine and my photo (a composite) I used here.
